Development planning and government performance evaluation require up-to-date, accurate and continuous data to produce measurable and targeted development. Data on socio-economic conditions provide an overview of development achievements and can also be used by policy makers to evaluate development programs. Data related to people's living needs such as clothing, food, housing, education, health, security and employment opportunities are needed to determine the extent to which development outcomes have reached all levels of society.
